Un po’ coupé e un po’ familiare, con interni spaziosi e ben equipaggiati. Per la versione HPE, il carrozziere torinese utilizza il pianale più lungo – quello della già esistente Beta berlina – e tutta la parte anteriore della coupé fino alle portiere, mentre la coda è dedicata. Qui spicca l’ampio portellone incernierato sull’attaccatura del tetto caratterizzato, nel lunotto interno, da una veneziana che filtra la luce e protegge il contenuto del bagagliaio.

The Lancia Beta HPE (High Performance Estate) was born in 1975 from Pininfarina’s pencil. Low and streamlined, the Lancia Beta HPE combines the high-performance sportiness with the practicality of a family car.
Part coupé and part family car, it features a spacious and well-equipped interior. For the HPE version, the Turin coachbuilder used the longer platform of the already available Beta sedan, and the entire front part of the coupé up to the doors, while the rear is original. A distinctive feature is the large tailgate hinged to the roof, characterized by a venetian blind inside that filters the light and protects what’s in the trunk.
